Public Health Schools and MPH Programs in Connecticut

If you wish to become a helping hand in the fight against poverty, disease and threats to wellness, public health may be a good place to get into the game. Connecticut currently has ten Master of Public Health (MPH) programs that are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), and are offered by three different schools: Southern Connecticut State University, University of Connecticut and Yale University. The MPH programs are designed to offer students higher education in the field of public health and equip them with knowledge and skills to be competitive in the public health field. The public health career field in Connecticut also demonstrates multiple opportunities for biostatisticians, medical and health services managers or healthcare administrators and health specialties professors—all of whom will be in significant demand through at least the year 2028.

As mentioned above, Connecticut has three schools offering CEPH-accredited MPH programs: Southern Connecticut State University, University of Connecticut and Yale University. Depending on the school, students can specialize in health promotion, generalist, advanced professional or other concentrations. However, all the concentrations are delivered on campus either in New Haven or Farmington of Connecticut.
